Know Your Digital Camera – 2 Sessions
Do you have a new digital camera or are thinking of buying one? Confused by focus, exposure and composition? Explore the controls, features and settings of your digital camera. We will discuss different types of photography and common settings for most. This introductory class is for any digital camera – point and shoot, compact, bridge or DSLR.
Master Your Digital Camera – 3 Sessions
Learn how to take better photographs using the right settings for your camera. This hands-on class offers practice using your camera and includes homework assignments to challenge you. We will explain exposure, focus and composition and how to use depth of field, f-stops, shutter speeds and ISO. You must be comfortable with how to change your camera's settings and its controls. Bring your DSLR and the instructions to class. Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Olympus Fuji – all welcome!
Advanced Photo Techniques – 2 Sessions
Learn how to take better photographs using more advanced techniques available on most DSLR cameras. This hands-on class will explore the creation of stunning photographs using image stacking (macro and Large Depth of Field), panoramas and macro photography. Landscape, low-light and time-lapse photography will be explored. Bring your DSLR to class. Prerequisite – You must be proficient with your cameras’ settings and features.
Editing Your Photos w/ Lightroom – 2 sessions
Learn the ins and outs of editing your photos using Adobe Lightroom. We will demonstrate the use and features of Lightroom to bring the most out of your photos. Tips, Tricks, hidden features and optimizing the performance and your workflow will all be discussed and demonstrated.
Digital Photography Hands On Workshop – 2 sessions
Learn digital photography techniques in this hands-on workshop held in a local photogenic location. Landscape, portrait, macro, time-lapse, and long-exposure photography will be taught and explored. Prerequisite: full familiarity with your camera – this is a class on technique, NOT camera operation.
Nightscape Photography Hands-On Workshop – 2 sessions
Adults and Teens ages 13 and up.
Photography at night can be both frustrating and rewarding. In this two-session workshop, we will explore the process of capturing star trails, the moon, and the Milky Way and how to edit to bring out the hidden details in your photos. Weather permitting, we may spend a portion of time outside shooting the full moon. You are responsible for all your own gear. This is a class on technique, not camera operation! Please plan on attending both sessions.
